Boy I Needed This!!!
I started reading my email after I made the post below.........
BOY a must read!!!! Please keep in mind it was sent to me on an email list and clearly states AUTHOR UNKNOWN........I just found it profound and wanted to share it to all who skip across this neck of the internet..........
A Different Kind of Prayer
Heavenly Father, Help us remember that the crazy driver who cut us off in traffic last night is a single mother who worked nine hours that day and was rushing home to cook dinner, help with homework, do the laundry and spend a few precious moment with her children.
Help us to remember that the pierced, tattooed, disinterested young man who can't make change correctly is a worried 19-year-old college student, balancing his apprehension over final exams with his fear of not getting his student loans for next semester.
Remind us, Lord, that the scary looking homeless man, begging for money in the same spot every day (who really ought to get a job)! is a slave to addictions that we can only imagine in our worst nightmares.
Help us to remember that the old couple walking annoyingly slow through the store aisles and blocking our shopping progress are savoring this moment, knowing that, based on the biopsy report he got back last week, this will be the last year that they go shopping together.
Father, remind us each day that, of all the gifts you give us, the greatest gift is love. It is not enough to share that love with those we hold dear. Open our hearts not just to those who are close to us but to all humanity.
Let us be slow to judge and quick to forgive. Bless us with patience, empathy and love.
Amen.

The title is so true, boy I needed this, because as you read this, I'm so not the person to forgive or see past ~ this what we all just read is what I "want" to be in my life, yet, I know so many people in my life actively right now who live this poem whom I not only look up too but adore........I only wish I held a centimeter of such goodness!!!
I'm with you, honey! This is my kind of prayer. I find as I am out and about these days that I am trying to develop a more mellow attitude to those around me, but there are still times when my irritation rises and I want to shout pithy comments. Thanks for the reminder that there's more to consider!

I can't tell you how often I let my anger get the best of me. (Wait, you know me so I don't have to try and count!!!) I shouldn't say anger, frustration is more like it. But this is something I'm going to tape up on my bathroom mirror. Maybe this is the mantra I need to keep in my head at all times! LOL
Seriously, thanks! Love ya

It's just amazing how we don't realize that all the strangers around us have a whole story to tell.
Good stuff!
