Mixed Emotions

Well it is Final as of yesterday!!! Speedbump and I went to court and the judge signed the papers and we are now officially divorced. After more than a bit of drama and an hour an a half later it became official. One would have thought I would have been elated, but I left the court room in shock for most the day and night and today am mostly numb.

In telling Little Ms. Prissy that it was official for closure I think sums up best how I feel it is sad! It is sad that two adults who set off together to build a life with hopes and dreams and involve another child, whom they jointly love dearly, can not make it work much less even carry on a civil conversation with one another any longer and it comes to this - in a nut shell it is just plain sad! Once she knew her life wasn't going to be upheaved again she was okay and was concerned on raiding my earrings. Luckily we managed to do at least that part of it right and make sure that she was secure with all that has transpired in the past year. She is a doll I tell ya!! A few weeks back I got her ears pierced and now that she can change earrings mine are no longer safe so mother/daughter battles have begun early around here with jewerly!

Ryan is doing very well in school. He swears his grades are good, which they had better be since he is on scholarship. He has been benched for a few weeks since he has twiked his arm and for safety purposes they are letting it rest. For those, should you still come around and read, that remember Ms. Thang, from the chat room. She lives about 30 minutes from Ryan's school and has taken to cooking for him so he now has two mother's - one close and one an hour away. He is in heaven as long as we cook! Spoiled child that he is!!!

The health issue I am still battling but am on an even keel for now *keeping fingers crossed* so am living a normal life these days and am enjoying the drama free and realizing WOW I am really enjoying in it!!! I am not a stop and smell the flowers kinda girl, but I do so enjoy the snuggles from my bull dog, and giggles from my daughter and wresles from my son when he comes home. It seems like it has been so long since I have actually been drama stress free that I could truely enjoy a good laugh and not wait for the shoe or roof to drop on my head. I think I am going to enjoy this part of my life right now.

Hope all is well with everyone!!
